Remove Cluster Nodes after Cluster Object was deleted
While building new 2012 servers to move to we had some change in requirements. We are using Availability Groups on the new servers.
Here's where we started.
Servers:
Serv1a
Serv1b
Serv2a
Serv2b
Serv3a
Serv3b
Each Group had a corresponding listener and Cluster:
Listener1
Cluster1
Listener2
Cluster2
Listener3
Cluster3
We then changed to use two groups of three. Since it was early in the process (no in production) we deleted Listener and Cluster Objects and renamed Serv3a and 3b to Serv1c and 2c.
Problem is I forgot to remove the machines from the cluster and now I can't. I also can't add them to the other clusters since the machines think they are still a part of the deleted cluster. Anyone have a Powershell script or Registry hack to remove them? I haven't figured it out yet.

I believe that your only supported option is going to be to format the machines are reinstall them. To get the cluster to not think they are there simply evict them from the cluster.
