Is it possible to queue PostgreSQL logical replication messages from multiple sources?
I want to use multiple "forward" PostgrSQL instances which serve distinct applications but share overlapping subsets of the same schema to update a single master which holds a full version of the schema and the full set of records. The master then replicates changes back to the other forward instances.
My thought was to use the built in logical replication in both directions, but to have the messages inbound to the master converge in a queue in order to roughly sequence changes. Replication message flow from the master back out to the forward stores would be unimpeded.
I don't see anything in the documentation for the streaming replication protocol which indicates whether it would support this kind of convergent queuing. Is this possible?
