XMLTYPE with where clause - Oracle 11G
I am trying to extract the value of column B if A is null. However the data is in a clob column, so I am using XMLTYPE to extract it.
SQLFIDDLE
Expected output:
if TYPE_ID = 10 and XMLTYPE(XML_DATA).EXTRACT('l-ana/vehicle/odo-reading[@latest="true"]/reading/@value').getStringVal() is NULL or DOESN'T EXIST
then TYPE_ID = 20 and XMLTYPE(XML_DATA).EXTRACT('mt-result/mt/text()').getStringVal()
else TYPE_ID = 10 and XMLTYPE(XML_DATA).EXTRACT('l-ana/vehicle/odo-reading[@latest="true"]/reading/@value').getStringVal()
How can I get that result?
