Automate setting secondary node to primary when majority nodes are down-MongoDB
There are many ways to force a secondary node to become a primary when majority nodes are down in mongo replica set. But we need to do this manually. For eg, forcing reconfig:
cfg = rs.conf();
cfg.members = [cfg.members[1]];
rs.reconfig(cfg, {force : true});
How can we automate this task to run in the background which kind of checks for the heartbeat and automatically promotes secondary to primary.
