Oracle : Delete large set of data from minimal time

I have a table with large set of data and i want to delete subset of data. Following is my first approach.

  1. Create a new table with required data.

  2. Rename old table ( later to be dropped )

  3. Rename new table to old table name.

  4. Create indexes and constraints.

However, since i'm too worried if i miss any constraint on step 4, i want to try following approach.

  1. Create a new empty table as old table using its sql query. This will create indexes and constraints and will be manually verified for all the requirements such as index, constrains, table spaces.

  2. Insert required data set to this newly created table.

  3. Rename old table

  4. Rename new table to old table

What would be the better approach when considering the performance ?

I'm using Oracle 10g . There is no table partitions. Data set nearly 6.7 millions but I don't have much window to do this operation. Mainly 15 min.
