Trying to figure out query in bigquery to pivot the data and show the count of individual rows

0

When i query using standard sql in bigquery, i get result as shown below

user1 play
user1 sing
user1 ride
user1 play
user1 sleep
user1 sleep
user2 study
user2 sleep
user2 sleep
user2 play
user2 sing
user2 study
user2 study
user2 sing
user2 play
user2 ride
user2 sleep
user3 study
user3 study

I can do a pivot using excel and get the expected result, but is it possible to write a query to get result in this format in bigquery?.

      play sing study ride sleep
user1 2 1 1 2
user2 2 2 3 1 3
user3 2
