estimating IOPS for aurora from current mysql rds instance
If I have the following averages over the last 4 months for mysql rds instance
db 1 77.7 writes/second, 8.54 reads/second
db 1 108 writes second, 8.56 reads/second
(2629746 = seconds in a month)
Would be IO be:
(77.7* 2629746) + (8.54* 2629746) + (108 * 2629746) + (8.56 * 2629746)
= 533,312,488.8
533,312,488.8/1000000 (charges per 1 million)
= 533.3124888 * .2
= 106.66 USD
This seems very expensive
